Data collection tool. Interfaces with numerous types and quantities
of data collection protocols, while collecting, processing and
providing data information. Enables user to define, collect, edit and
store data records in database format. Automatically passes newly
collected data records to company's host computer system for continued
processing. Makes new records immediately available for needed
inquiries and reports. Delivers and uninterrupted flow of data from
any data collection point to host. Handles remote data collection
locations. Interfaces with all fundamental types of data collection
protocols including bar code, magnetic tape, OCR and RF technologies.
Enables user to choose best hardware configuration for each
application requirement while funneling all information to one
database. Users enter data records from data entry points.
Information may be entered in any order. Checks each data record for
mandatory information, appends optional or default values, checks the
record against multiple edit files, realigns each record into a format
usable by host and transfers record to host. Notifies entry station of
error in record and stores a copy of the incorrect record in a file.
Presents file of inaccurate records prior to host record transfer.
Verifies data based on data entry inputs. Collected information is
simultaneously available for inquiry through the use of data
