Ingres Intelligent RDBMS is designed to provide data management and
 application development capabilities across a network of dissimilar
 hardware and software systems. Applications run identically on any system
 and data can be processed from any number of sites. Ingres is portable
 across IBM, DEC, UNIX, and DOS platforms. Ingres's server architecture
 is multithreaded and allows processing by both server and host CPUs. Ingres
 runs on IBM, DEC, Data General, HP, ICL, Pyramid, Sequent, and UNISYS
 equipment.
