A unified family of software components enabling developers to build information
 retrieval solutions for workgroups, enterprises, the Internet, and Intranets.
 Combines Adaptive Pattern Recognition Processing and Semantic Network
 technologies, retrospective text searching and real-time profiling, and
 combined full-text and database searching. The SDK includes high-level
 APIs, Visual Basic Custom Controls, Remote Procedure Calls, Pattern Server,
 Semantic Server, Profiling Server, and RetrievalWare Web Server. Built-in
 semantic knowledgebase derived from published dictionaries contains 400,000
 word meanings and 1.6 million word links. Vertical knowledgebases for
 legal and healthcare applications also available. Applications include
 online services, real-time news filtering, intelligence analysis, document
 management and workflow, multimedia asset management, intelligent message
 handling, litigation supports, and others. Available for IBM AIX, Solaris,
 SunOS, HP-UX, OSF/1 Alpha, Irix, and Windows NT servers, andWindows and
 Motif clients. SDK costs $5000; $400–600 per user for a 100-user license.
