DBMS that includes Database Manager, db Query SQL-based query system
and db Revise database restructure program. Includes relational
B-tree indexing, network database model, multiple database access,
built-in reference integrity, record and file locking functions,
automatic recovery and relational query and report writer. Supports
    most C compilers.Îïèñàíèå-Ò
This DBMS provides capabilities for C language database application
development. Combines both the relational and network database
structure technologies. Allows the user to develop applications which
will take advantage of the Windows environment. The database module
acts as a DLL within the Windows environment. Supports SQL with
extensions for facilitating report writing, making it possible to
integrate SQL into applications under development, providing a
familiar interfaces for database querying. Also includes run-time
libraries with more than 200 functions. Provides database design,
querying, detailed report writing, and database restructuring
capabilities. The program supports both network and relational data
models, and each can be used separately or in combination. For
components of an application where the relational model is best, the
program provides B-tree capabilities. Also offers the capacity for ad
hoc inquiries and reports. In larger, more complex applications, the
user can incorporate features of the network database model, allowing
for the definition of relationships between records through constructs
called sets. Disk space is saved when sets are used, because no index
is required. The program provides functions and utilities needed for
database creation and updates. It includes features allowing
efficient data access through the combination of network model sets
and B-tree indexing, multi-user support for minicomputers and LANs, a
background lock manager program for controlling/processing lock
requests, and numerous other facilities. The program includes the
db_QUERY database query program, the db_REVISE database restructuring
application and a Runtime Library wherein database manipulation and
control is performed through calls to C functions.ÒÅÐÌÈÍÛ
