Provides full read/write access by multiple users to RMS data coupled

Provides read/write access by multiple users to RMS data coupled with
NOMAD for application development and reporting. The user can use the
programs to develop VAX/VMS multi-user applications with RMS files
using a client/server architecture on a DECnet network. Clients may
be Nomad in the VAX/VMS, OS/2, and PC-DOS environments. The Interface
and server provide the same capabilities. Using either, the user may
read and write RMS data. All of Nomad's 4GL components are available
including database definition, data manipulation, reporting, windows
and procedural language. Existing files are accessed through the
Nomad Schema. Using the same application code, the user can migrate
between timesharing and client/server architectures, and between
client Nomad environments. Database definition features include
Schema, File Access, support for numerous Data Types, Record and Field
Formats, and support for Remote File Access. Database Manipulation
Language features include Non-Procedural Data Maintenance,
Non-Procedural Data Positioning, Data Access, and Data Manipulation
and Transfer features. Other Nomad features include Interactive
Windows, Application Windows, Procedural language, Expression
Operators, Functions, Reporting and support for Task-To-Task Network
