retrieves Binary Large Objects including scanned images, fax messages,
video, dialog boxes, menus, solids designs, documents and bitmaps.

Extends the functionality of C and C++, allowing development of
conventional and multimedia applications. Supports an option for
storage/retrieval of Binary Large Objects such as scanned images,
video, dialog boxes, documents, bit maps and rule sets. The program
supports variable and fixed-length records. Variable records can
contain multiple varchar fields, supporting a maximum record size of
32,767 bytes. Allows the user to open the same file multiple times,
establishing a record access stream each time the record is opened.
Supports sequential, random or dynamic and direct record access modes.
Provides support for an unlimited number of indexes in a single file.
Stores all indexes in a single index file. Supports up to 16
non-contiguous parts in a single index. Allows the user to optionally
store the structure of a record in the file header. The user can also
store multiple data files in a single physical file, referred to as a
container file. Groups index files or object files in their own
container files. Supports integer, float, char, long, double and
varchar datatypes. Allows the user to extend the datatypes supported
