Part of Cincom's Total FrameWork application assembly environment that lets
companies integrate information on an enterprise-wide basis. Persistence
FrameWork provides a single, global view of an organization's disparate
information. Lets companies leverage their existing systems, and minimize
the disruption caused by adopting new technology. Consists of two primary
components: an object-relational DBMS, and the Persistence Automation
Server, a language-neutral, open interface based on Microsoft's OLE/COM
object-enabling technology. When implemented with the other components of
Total FrameWork, Persistence FrameWork allows companies to operate on a
cross-functional basis, integrating information from various parts of the
organization that previously may not have communicated effectively.
Available as a standalone environment or as part of Total FrameWork.
Currently available on the following platforms: Alpha OSF/1, HP-UX, RS/6000
AIX, Solaris, SunOS, SGI, and Windows NT. Pricing starts at $1250-$6500 per
