Add-on option to Galacticomm's The Major BBS. Allows users to
simultaneously view, search, create and modify records in up to 16
on-line databases. Creates and maintains databases off-line and
imports/exports fixed-length ASCII data. Includes configurable

Add-on option for Major BBS. Up to 256 simultaneous users can be
searching and entering records in up to 8 on-line databases. Provides
configurable security and access-level control and the package
automatically prevents conflicts when multiple users need to access
the same records. Uses off-line programs and an on-line module to
create record layouts, set them up on-line, configure their views for
searching, entering, modifying and deleting, and control security
access levels. The Database Management program is used to create the
physical layout of the records in the databases. A database record
can store up to 4K of information in up to 80 fields. Up to 20 of
these fields can be key (index) fields. A database's structure can be
modified at any time and all records converted to the new format.
Information from existing databases in dBase, Paradox and Q&A can be
imported in fixed-length ASCII format. Also supports fixed-length
ASCII export. On-line View Configuration allows users to decide which
databases are brought on-line and how users will interact with them.
Includes a pre-defined search structure that allows user to fill in
the blanks during configuration. A search requires a key field, a key
search operation and a compare value which are used to retrieve all
matching records. Up to three filters can be used to narrow the
