processing, specifications and composition of engineering materials

DBMS for properties of engineering materials such as metals, plastics,
composites and ceramics. Allows user to cross reference each material
to 50 alternate specifications. Maintains minimum and maximum
percentages of composition for 20 elements. Stores additional
comments on compositions for display along with the element percents.
Allows user to index material by 50 product forms. Ranks each
material condition for processing characteristics such as formability,
weldability, machinability, hardenability, availability and processing
cost. Permits user to define six ranking categories. Allows user to
index each material condition by 50 application classes such as heat
resistance or high strength. Reports properties for 20 different
conditions per material. Specifies 100 properties and 20 temperatures
for each condition. Allows user to define property names. Maintains
and displays 20 graphs for each material. Allows user to save graphs
to a DOS file for use with EnPlot or to be printed directly to a laser
or dot matrix printer. Maintains 200 lines of comments for each
material, with each line 60 characters long. Offers standard word
processing features to allow user to add new comments to record or to
edit existing comments. Provides the option to search, view and print
the data in English units. Maintains information for each property
such as property name, SI unit, English unit, conversion factor and
