A patented communications framework for developing distributed
client/server applications. The technology enables the integration of data
and services from legacy and open systems utilizing multiple, simultaneous,
and heterogeneous nonblocking sessions. The tools address four essential
information strategies for MIS: rapid implementation, integration of
disparate systems, loosely coupled architectures, and legacy migration
strategies. At the core of the architecture is a message monitor that
converts terminal and transaction-based data streams to a standard
transaction format. The product encapsulates these data streams, providing
a migration strategy with minimal disruption to new distributed client
applications. The open architecture supports industry-standard 4GL GUI
application development tools (Visual Basic, Visual C++, and PowerBuilder)
for building the user-interface and local workstation logic. Uses a variety
of communication protocols (TCP/IP, Novell, SAA, DECnet, LAT, and
asynchronous) and terminalemulation devices (including TTY, VT420, IBM
3278, Tandem 6530, and Bull). Development tools: $9500; runtimes start at
$380; quantity discounts are available.Ñòîèìîñòü=Development tools: $9500; runtimes start at $380; quantity discounts are available
