A workgroup model management system, which, working with AOS-enhanced
versions of the ERwin database design tool, promotes the sharing and
structured management of models. AOS makes data models available directly
from a central server, or ModelStore, so all members of the development
team work with the most current models. Differences between archived
versions can be reviewed and the current model can be selectively rolled
back to previous versions at any time. Keeps a log of all changes made
within models, allowing for impact analysis of changes made by users. Using
Intelligent Conflict Resolution, multiple users can change a model
concurrently. Any conflicts will be identified so that a decision can be
made as to which changes will be made to the model. Independent model merge
allows ERwin models to be consolidated into one model. Model access and
update control is managed through an integrated, flexible security system.ÊÎÌÏÀÍÈÈ
