    Blacksmith is a middleware software product that facilitates access to
         legacy data residing on host mainframes and minicomputers. Multiple character-based
     screens are consolidated into a graphical user interface. No changes to
     the host application are required. Supports Windows and Macintosh platforms
     and operates in development environments such as 4D, Powerbuilder, Visual
